The third and the last full length in the Kathaaria trilogy before the name change came into effect. Like the first two Kathaaria/Striborg cassette releases, this will feature an alternate Kataaria cover. IDM was composed every night for about a year, heavily influenced by the Scandinavian BM scene at the time.
The title refers to a tiny Island where hundreds of people were buried near Port Arthur and in some cases even left to starve and die.
IDM was recorded on the same (borrowed) analog 4-track recorder as Through the Forest from 5 pm at night until 6 am in the morning w/o a break (including final mix down).
